Road Hazard Warranty

1. Terms & Conditions

 

  1. The Road Hazard Warranty (Warranty) applies to all tyres purchased from and fitted at a Beaurepaires outlet (Warranted Tyre).
  2. The warranty applies for four (4) years from the date of purchase or until the tyre is worn to the minimum legal tread depth, whichever occurs first.
  3. The Warranty applies in addition to the statutory conditions and warranties implied by the Consumer and Competition Act 2010.
  4. The warranty expires if the tyre requires replacement. A new warranty will need to be purchased to cover the new tyre.

 

2. What you must do to validate and maintain the warranty

 

  1. To validate the Warranty, you must (i) pay the charge of minimum $11.00 per car tyre or $16.00 (dependent on tyre) at the time of purchase.
  2. The warranty terminates if a warranted tyre is transferred from the vehicle to which it was originally fitted to any other vehicle.

 

3. What is covered

 

  1. Goodyear & Dunlop Tyres (Aust) Pty Ltd. (Goodyear Autocare and Dunlop Super Dealer) will repair any legally repairable damage to a Warranted Tyre.
  2. Where, in Goodyear Autocare and Dunlop Super Dealer reasonable opinion, a Warranted Tyre cannot be repaired Goodyear Autocare and Dunlop Super Dealer will supply and fit a replacement tyre.

 

4. What is not covered

 

  1. In respect to any claim, you must pay for the amount of tread used. This amount is calculated by multiplying the percentage of the tread used by the original purchase price of the Warranted Tyre.
  2. The Warranty does not cover loss, damage or injury suffered by you or any other person or property other than to the extent specified above. However, you may have additional rights in relation to the conditions and warranties implied by the Consumer and Competition Act 2010.
  3. For the avoidance of doubt, the Warranty does not cover damage to any Warranted Tyre caused by collision, fire, chain damage, vandalism, racing, improper balance or alignment, improper inflation pressure, use of liquid tyre inflation products, use of sealant products, overloading or illegal fitment to a vehicle or any other misuse or abuse of the tyre.
  4. The Warranty does not apply where you are able to apply for compensation that covers the Warranted Tyre under any other insurance policy.
  5. Normal service fitting fees will apply if a replacement tyre is required.

 

5. What you need to make a claim

 

  1. To make a claim under the warranty you must present the following documents at any Goodyear Autocare or Dunlop Super Dealer outlet: (i) your original receipt (ii) your Tyre Maintenance Guide Booklet;
  2. A claim under the Warranty will not be accepted unless all requirements in this clause 5(a) are satisfied
